Almost everyone will try it, esp. the low earners and see how their sites will fare in terms of clickthroughs and earnings. Then, they’ll all go back to AdSense.

If I’m not mistaken (and I may be,) didn’t Google’s recent TOS changes specify that you can not run AdSense on the same page with other context-driven text ads? That should make for some interesting...
